Home-Based Childcare (HBCC) is one of the most common forms of non-parental childcare in Kenya, serving an estimated 2.8 million children. Providers typically operate informally from their homes, serving low-income families who need affordable, accessible care.
The Amani Childcare Network was established in 2025 to give these providers a collective voice. Through membership, providers gain access to training, advocacy support, and a professional network spanning three counties.
