The Amani Childcare Network collects personal data from its members for the purposes of
membership administration, communication, and advocacy. This notice explains how we handle
your data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Full name, national ID number, phone number, date of birth, gender
- County, sub-county, ward, and village/estate of residence
- Reason for joining, years of experience, number of children in care
- Passport-size photograph (optional)
How we use your data
- To manage your membership registration and status
- To communicate with you about Association activities
- To generate aggregate reports for advocacy purposes (no individual data is shared)
Your rights
- Access: You may request a copy of your personal data at any time.
- Rectification: You may request corrections to your data.
- Erasure: You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
Data protection
Personal data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted by role: only
authorised Secretariat staff and your County Coordinator can view your personal information.
All data access is logged for audit purposes.
